Personal Statement

I have played field hockey for the last 7 years, but I have participated in sports all my life like soccer, basketball, softball, and golf. I also love sailing and have grown up around boats and the Chesapeake Bay. Outside of sports, I love to help out the community through Girl Scouts and volunteering. I have earned my Bronze and Silver Awards and I am working towards my Gold. I like to volunteer with organizations like Inclusive Racing, and recently I have been helping serve free meals due to quarantine. I am a hard worker and love to help people, hence my career goal being physical or occupational therapy. I would love to continue playing field hockey at the college level and welcome the challenges that come with it.

Yes. I was in the International Baccalaureate program from 6th to 8th grade until I started attending the Governor's School. I took 3 APs this past school year and I'm planning on taking at least 1 AP class, and possibly 3 total AP tests.
