My collegiate goal is to play at a Division I/Division II school as a starter on the offensive line in the position of guard/tackle. With that opportunity, I would hope to aspire to being one of the best offensive linemen in the nation.
I have been a starting lineman in football since I was in the fourth grade. I have always been quick and agile for my size, along with very quick feet. I have learned that thinking on the field can be as valuable as good athleticism. I also have quick hands and a strong body core that enables me to hold my position against opponents that may be bigger or stronger than myself.
I believe that character building begins at home. My parents have always encouraged me to strive to be at the top of my game, but not at the expense of stepping on others. Respect on the football field is something that is earned, not given. I believe that happens when you execute a plan given by your coaches that helps you to win ballgames and gain the admiration of your peers at the same time.
My love and my passion is to play football. With that being said, I try to make sure that I'm the first in the weight room and the last on the practice field. I'm at the top of my class in all weight-lifting divisions making me the strongest lineman on the team. Again, my quick hands and quick feet give me the mobility and agility needed to be one of the best at my position.
Academically, I strive to set an example in the classroom with work completion and focusing on testing well. I take all advanced plament classes that are available to help prepare me for the collegiate academic program. My GPA is above average, which helps not only in the classroom but also on the football field.
Ultimately, my goal is to be a great offensive lineman for a college that can propel me to the next level of playing football professionally. With that said, I'm hoping that every avenue of steps taken, hard work, perseverance, and endurance will help me achieve that goal.
