My name is Brody Kitchens, a class of 2025 student-athlete at East Lawrence High School in Trinity, Al. Weighing in at 6'2" and 265lbs, I feel my size and strength are bonuses to my determination, coachability and drive for success. I am a varsity starter playing on both Defensive and Offensive line. I consider myself a versatile athlete and feel I am able to quickly adapt to the role I am needed to play.
I strive to improve each day. I pride myself on my determination and pushing myself both physically and mentally. I'm devoted to giving 110% both on and off the field. Any coach that I've had the opportunity to work with can attest to my dedication and determination.
My goal is to attend college to pursue a degree in health science. I plan to obtain my bachelor's in nursing and then continue my education to become a Nurse Practitioner and pursue a career in emergency medicine. I am currently CPR certified and have been a lifeguard at a local waterpark for 2 years. I enjoy helping people and feel I perform well under pressure, such as in an emergent situation. I am currently completing Dual Enrollment classes in English and Math, and have previously completed Dual enrollment history and Music to help work toward my degree goals. My sophomore year of high school, I made ALL COUNTY in football. Beyond football, I also play varsity baseball serving primarily as catcher but also playing 1st and 3rd base. Outside of school and sports, I volunteer with the local special Olympics and serve with my church youth group. I want to ensure I choose a school that will help me to equally achieve my goals in both athletics and academics.
I am committed to living a faith-based life. I believe that God has gifted me with my athletic abilities to use as a platform to convey His grace and love to others. Each time I step out on the field, whether it be in football or baseball, I do so with the intentions of glorifying God. I aim to inspire others to get to know Him as a reflection of Christ's character through my determination and dedication in sports. I give thanks to God for each and every opportunity I have to step out on the field and to Him be the Glory.
I aspire to be able to continue to be able to do these things at a competitive level in college. I will continue to strive for improvement each day to become a top competitor on a successful collegiate team!
