I am different from other athletes because I grew up on the mission field and didn't have the chance to play sports as a child. When we moved to Alaska my Junior year of high school, I had the opportunity to try out for the football team and made the team. Even though I had never played, Coach Balash and the team of assistant coaches really poured into me and helped teach me skills, drills, formations/plays, how to workout properly, etc. and I quickly fell in love with football. I played on both the Junior Varsity and Varsity teams this year and had a great season. I am willing to work hard both on and off the field, am teachable and try to be a leader to my "football family" of brothers both in the locker room and on the field.
Even though I am new to football, I deeply desire to play football in college. I am willing to put in the hard work, the time and dedication it takes to be the best football player I can be and will put forth the same effort academically as well.
