My name is Noah Chambers and I play Quarterback for the Juneau Huskies, a 4A program in Juneau, Alaska. I am a two star QB, ranked #1 in the state, and I have aspirations to play college football and have an academic career and possibly go on to play professional football if my skills allow it. If nothing else, I hope use football to allow me to gain a college education and pursue a career in the field of science. I maintain a 3.5 GPA and take AP Honors Classes. I am a member of Chapel By The Lake Presbyterian Church and am active in Young Life and I place my faith at the center of my life.
My senior season has been amazing: Our team went from playing no games in 2020 due to COVID to winning our 4A D1 conference and playing in the State Championship game. I was named 1st team All-State and All-Conference and Offensive MVP of the All-Star game.
Playing football in Juneau is uniquely challenging because it is not enough for us to just be athletes. We are expected to maintain a high GPA and be active in the community. Because of the added expenses of playing football here, we are expected to raise a significant amount of money individually, participate in many work projects and community service projects year-round. In addition, I play basketball and baseball for Thunder Mountain High School and am training year-round in football either in the weight room or working out on the field.
Because we are off the primary road system of Alaska, we must fly to all away games and often we are on the road for days at a time. All this unique experience gives me an advantage over many of my peers. I am independent and able to navigate unfamiliar settings, I manage my own money, have a strong work ethic and am able to think creatively to solve challenges and problems that many high school students down south will never face. I am ambitious, energetic, positive and a self starter.
While I am highly driven, I am very fortunate to have mentors willing to work with me to continue to improve my skills. In addition, I have attended camps at Montana Tech, Montana State University, Carroll College, Boise State University, University of Idaho, and Eastern Oregon University. I have also participated in the Manning Passing Academy for two years, USA Football regional camp, Junior Day in Butte (MT), and the Western Oregon University mini-camp in Juneau.
I regularly work out with a college quarterback during the summers and lead a 7-on-7 flag football team in an adult league off season. I know my weaknesses and am working hard every day to eliminate them and improve. I have been a member of two Youth Football national championship teams and have played quarterback since I was 7 years old. I have also played baseball and wrestling and will continue to play basketball in the future. Each of these sports have made me a better football player.
I will continue to excel as both a football player and a student and person. I work daily to achieve my goals as an individual and a member and leader of a team. I belong at a program where I will be challenged both on the field and off of it and where I will grow into the athlete I know I can be.
