Colby Jones '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a team player, loyal and very respectful.  I am a hard worker, never give up attitude. The game of football is my passion. I want to pursue a longer football playing career and get a college/university degree along the way to improve my future endeavors .  I have a great family and family support.

My 2021/2022 season of High school and club football really elevated my game.  2021 High school Football awards night I was named the outstanding lineman, After the high school season I then went and tried out for a spring Club Team the Battle River Shock. Upon making the team as starter playing  O line, mostly Center and tackle at times my love for the game just grow more, the program and coaching staff were amazing and the experience was outstanding.  We went undefeated in the tier 1 Division and won the Championship.  At the teams award night I won the Teams Craig Mcnabb Memorial Golden Heart Award, I was very proud to accept this award amongst the great teammates I had. 

After this wonderful experience I was more prepared for my Senior year (2022/2023) at High school, at our awards night I was named and awarded the Team's MVP award. In April of 2022 I attended the High School selects team program with the University of Alberta Golden Bears tryouts and was selected to the team.  Players from all over the province attended these tryouts. The program starts its mini camps in December 2022 with a club trip to San Antonio, Texas in February 2023.  

With all the club and travel experience  I have gained and  experienced I am looking forward to my Senior year of high school football.  Really  looking to have a fun and competitive year of football with my team mates and coaches. 

Made the 2023 Alberta Football Team North to play Alberta Team South (Grade 12 student athletes)  (top 100 all-stars). Team North wins 30-13, I won Team North Most Valuable Lineman.
