Jayden Easingwood '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jayden, and I'm in my 6th year playing volleyball. I have spent  3 years as a starting middle while transitioning to a starting setter. We played a 6-2 in JV volleyball, so I played right side as well, although I prefer setting. I have been team captain, and enjoy bringing a positive energy to my team. I was selected to play up for another team in our club for Provincials and Nationals as well as other tournaments. I was also selected to play up for Team B.C., bringing home gold for the first time in our zone.

I work very hard to achieve high grades in all of my courses. I received Honour Roll with Distinction and Academic Excellence awards for achieving and maintaining a 4.0 GPA for the last 2 years. I have started taking some NCCP Coaching Courses and coached an elementary school team....bringing home gold. I am also a certified official with Volleyball Canada, which has helped me develop a greater understanding of the rules of the game.

My goal is to play volleyball at a high level during my college career and to one day play professionally. I believe my passion, determination and grit are what drives me to continue to push myself and develop my skills as volleyball player.
