Matthew Weed '21 Recruiting Profile

Dear Collegiate Coaches,

I have been dreaming of playing collegiate football since the day I started playing football, just like every high school football player. With that being said I am an academically inclined student who knows you can’t go anywhere without schooling. I’m not looking for necessarily a big college, just the college that fits for me. My collegiate goals would first to graduate whichever college with a degree and to become the best football player I can become whether thats NFL or just 4 years in college or 2 years of JUCO. What makes me different than other recruits is my character, I believe I am not only a natural leader on and off the field but I am also energetic and love hyping my teammates up and seeing others succeed. I start both ways of the ball in the slot on offense and as either a corner or safety on defense depending on my teams needs for the moment. Just like the great athletes, I am a two sport athlete. I run the 300 meter hurdles on the varsity track team. I only ran in 3 races last season due to a lower leg and knee injury but made districts after my first race then made regionals after my district race and ran at the Westside regionals. I am a motivated student athlete and I can’t wait to begin my college career with you if you give me the opportunity!
