My name is Jay, and I am ready. At my young age, I have already overcome a lot. I was born in Haiti to parents who could not care for me. I was given to an orphanage at the age of 3 and lived there for 4 years until my parents adopted me and brought me to the United States. As I grew, my family and friends noticed that I was fast. Really fast. I began playing soccer and flag football as a child and then contact football in the 7th grade. I was addicted! There is no better feeling than getting past the defense and seeing nothing but grass between me and the end zone. Football is a lot of work and, at my size, there are challenges to overcome, but I have been overcoming challenges since I was born in Haiti. These challenges have developed character and a work ethic in me that sets me apart and will lead to success at the college level. I can’t wait for the challenge!
