I am currently an 8th grade student athlete, Cash Broughton. I got into football at the start of the 2024 season. I missed the registration day for football due to being previously uninterested, but upon arriving the coaches decided I was instantly fit to play. After getting ahold of the game, I fell in love, now committing to football as not only a game, but a definite life choice. I've been told that in both football and academics, instead of quitting when it gets hard, I just try harder. In athletics, my team often has attributed me for helping achieve success. I got used to playing both ways, adapting to the current team I'm playing, and never tiring, thus never letting my team down. My last position and most well known position was defensive and offensive tackle on the right side, being nominated for both Defensive MVP and most improved in my football season, but taking most improved due to having not played football previously. I've also been academically praised, currently acting as the 8th grade representative at my Christian school's student council, as well as being in multiple advanced classes over the days, taking accelerated English in 7th grade, and currently taking algebra in my 8th grade class. I've almost always aced science classes, my lowest grade being a B at a public school 7th grade due to a teacher's uncorrected mistake, and taken electives such as engineering, computer science, and similar topics.
