Prospective Coaches,
My name is Luis A. Ramirez-Diarte, I play football at Servite High School in Anaheim, California. I am 6'1" 255lbs. I have played Football at Servite all 4 years. Last year I battled and played behind our senior Mason Graham who is starting this year at Michigan University for Coach Harbaugh. I have had the privilege to play against some of the best players in the country. I am blessed to play in the hardest league in the country, the Trinity League. Last year we lost to # 1 Mater Dei in the CIF Championship and unfortunately came in 2nd place. However, this year has been a challenge for us as well as my-self. We are in a rebuilding process and lost many players for different reasons including some of talented seniors last year which places the few seniors left like my-self in a new and challenging position. I am embracing this situation as a way to get out of my comfort zone and help lead and motivate our young underclassmen who are now a part of our varsity team. It has been a challenge, but adversity makes us stronger. My faith in God and myself will help me during these challenging moments. This 2022 season has been a difficult start compared to the years prior. I have played both sides of the ball on offense and defense. This year due to the lack of experience and size on the defense of line I am playing nose tackle. I am also a right guard on offense. I have played every offensive position: center, guard, and tackle. I have played defensive tackle, defensive end, and now nose tackle. I play wherever my coach needs me. I try to maintain a rigid and constant work ethic by training extra aside from our football practices every Saturday and when possible, during the week.
I have always dreamed and desired to play football at the next level. As most athletes, we would love to play at a D 1 school, Power 5 University. That said, I believe I would be a great fit for any university football program. My experience, work ethic, and playing some of the best teams in the country gives me that edge that is needed to play and start at any program. I have also wrestled throughout high school. I am a 2-sport athlete. In addition, I have a 3.8 GPA and I am taking 5 AP classes this year as well. My course work is hard, but this allows me to possibly get ahead in some classes at the university by passing my AP exams. I am a STEM student who is interested in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics. My senior year is full of challenges both academic as well as in sports, football. This reflects part of my character and desire for greatness in all aspects of my life.
Thank you for your consideration,
Luis A. Ramirez-Diarte # 53
