Eugenio M. Maldonado-Rivera '21 Recruiting Profile

Since I was a kid, I always felt a connection with sports. Everything started with basketball. It was the sport that began to create my path, until one day that I found the rough and crude game that is water polo. Water polo has taught me a lot of things, but something that has always stuck with me is that if I do not put in the work, no one will do it for me. That is what motivates me to keep playing at a college level. 

I have played water polo for six years,  and in which 5 of them I was part of the  Puerto Rico youth national team. Every year I keep thriving to get better in and out of the pool. 

I am looking for a college that does not only will push me academically but also help me get better as an athlete. My GPA is 3.40, and I took an AP class. I am interested in pursuing an undergraduate in business and then go to law school with a specialty in criminal law. 

 I understand that I would be an excellent insertion to a competitive water polo team.
