Hello,
My name is Dennis Reed Jr. I liked to be called DJ. I am a incoming Senior, and I am sixteen years old. I attend Independence High School in Bakersfield, California. I played Varsity football for two years and Varsity basketball for three years at Independence High School. For the last two years I have been a captain for both Varsity football and basketball. I am 5"11, weight 175 pounds, and I run a 4.5 in the forty. In my junior year I averaged 16.83 yards per catch, and 13.76 running yards per average. I also start at corner and is assigned to the best receiver on the opposing team, and I am on special teams, kick off returner. This season I received First Team All Conference and League Offense First Team, also MVP. I've been selected to the U.S Army All Star Bowl game in Bakersfield Ca.
It has always been my dream to play college football. I am looking for an institution where I can exploit my athletic abilities, whether it is on defense or offense. My G.P.A is a 3.7, and my goal is to achieve a 4.0 or higher my Senior year. Right now, I want to major in History, and possibly become a history teacher. I believe some things in History should not repeats itself, and I feel like people should learn from other's past. I am in Project Best, which is an African American leadership group. Also, I am in the Honor Society ,which means I was able to keep a 3.5 or higher G.P.A throughout High school. I am currently in the Link Crew Program, which helps freshmen get use to the high school campus, and we are role models to them . Its a few more programs that I'm involved with but didn't want to be redundant when it comes to my personal involvement with the community. As you can see I care a lot about academics and as well as athletics. I would like to attend a campus that is equally balanced in both. I would love to attend any college in the U.S. Thank you so much for taking the time out your day to view this page. "DJ"
