Everyone has times in their life they would call "highs" and "lows" but the "lows" are when a person can really grow and develop. It's the days when you don't feel like doing anything, and the times when you're too tired to do another rep, that you truly see who you are as a athlete, and as a person in general. Personally, I've had many of these "lows" and uncertainties, but that's what has helped me grow and improve. I once heard someone say, "without sadness, you wouldn't know true happiness", and I like to apply this to my thinking of "highs" and "lows" by saying that without the "lows", you wouldn't truly know and be able to experience the "highs".
My high school team was never known for their football program, but despite this, I attended the school and played football for them willing to take on the leadership role. Dedicating my time, and effort into the sport and my studies, hopeful that it will all pay off for my future, and the goals that I have set for myself, I worked tirelessly, remained content during the "highs", and persevered through the "lows". The next step for me is to focus on my studies, and persevere throughout whatever might come my way, all in hopes of getting the blessing to fulfill my dream of playing college football.
