“Do it for Mo”
My name is Theo Meyer, I am a 6’3”, 260 pound offensive tackle who loves protecting my quarterback and neutralizing defensive opponents on the field.
One of the biggest motivators for my football career thus far has been my oldest brother Mo. My family lost Mo in a sudden car accident when he was just 19 years old. Although I was still young at the time, I can vividly remember him attending my first football games from early on. He always believed in my abilities both on and off the field, but despite him no longer being with me, he has continued to be one of my biggest inspirations. His passing has reminded me to be grateful for the things I have been offered, and to never take for granted the opportunities I am presented with. Years later, as a sophomore varsity football athlete, I have also learned that you can be successful beyond your wildest dreams if you are willing to put in the effort and stay focused. My dad has always reminded me that success is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration, and my goal is to strive for this in everything I do, especially my football career.
In order to become the best athlete I can be, I am dedicated towards strengthening myself both physically and continuing to work on my football skills. I have an excellent relationship with my coaches, and see them as both mentors and role models in my life. My academic goals are to graduate high school followed by a college degree in either Engineering or Science.
I am strongly committed to being the best student athlete possible while attending college. This is a wonderful opportunity to develop life and leadership skills, give back, make my parents proud and continue doing it for Mo.
