"A man who sets goals that seem impossible to reach will gain more striving for those goals and falling short than the man who sets obtainable goals and reaches them." This quote rings true in my life. As a young man, son, brother, friend, teammate, student, athlete, and Christian; I do not strive to be average but instead unique. I believe that one must shoot for the stars in all he does, and find joy in proving the critics wrong. I have always been told that I couldn't make it coming from the small town I live in, I am striving to prove everyone who said that wrong. No matter what mountain stands in my way, no matter what adversity shows up, I assure you I will give everything I have within me to overcome it. And if I do not overcome it then I will keep working until I can. I believe that to be successful on the football field you must first set a firm foundation. If you are not a good citizen and student, it will show up on the field when the game is on the line. I give all the credit for my success thus far to my family, teammates, coaches, and God. They are the reason for me being where I am today. Personal statistics, achievements, and notoriety are all things I do not thrive from. I would much rather my offensive line be put down in the record books because they make it all happen. Coaches, I know you want someone who is 6'3, 210 pounds from a packed conference in the big city, but i PROMISE you that If you will give me a look, you will not be disappointed. Height and weight can be overcome, but something you can't measure are personal characteristics that set up someone for success not just on the football field but in the locker room. I do not have just the football field measureables, but the characteristics to make an impact off of the field as well.
