My name is Jake Zimmerman and I am a senior at Escondido Charter High School, in Escondido, California. This year, I am playing WR/S/K/P on Varsity. I am also a team captain this year. I was awarded the Scholar Athlete of the Year award for my junior season and I was selected to be a team captain as well. As a sophomore, I was a two-way starter playing TE/WR/OLB/K on Varsity. Sophomore year I earned the honor of being selected to All-League 2nd Team Defense. As a Freshman, I was also a two-way starter on the JV team, as well as being voted team captain and most dedicated player by my teammates.
I look forward to continuing to develop and excel throughout my high school career. I want to help my team be successful however I can. Even more importantly though, I wish to continue to stand out in academics and do well in the classroom. I maintain a 4.0 GPA while taking honors and AP classes.
Football has been a key aspect of my life and I plan to continue this passion through college. While doing so, I want to excel in the classroom and receive my degree.
