Hello, My name is Ainsley McClure and I want to play football at the collegiate level. Period. I love the game of football, from the crack of my pads as I hit the lineman lined up in front of me to the bonds between my teammates and coaches that only a sport like football could bring. I have loved every second of this sport since the first summer camp day my freshman year I padded up, and I hope I won't have to stop playing until after I graduate college. Every day of the season I wake up feeling ready and good about myself because I am one of fifty or so players (Varsity, JV, and Freshman level combined) out of a school of over twenty-two hundred that have what it takes to play the sport of football.
Being a student-athlete at a school as prestigious as Mission San Jose, I have learned that academics will always come first, or they would be calling us athlete-students. In the classroom, I feel as if I am second to none, and I try to have the same attitude whilst on the football field. I hope I can keep these attitudes until the day comes when I walk across the podium and am handed my degree. (Hopefully in Athletic Training and Physical Therapy) I believe that academics and athletics are both important and should be combined in a way in which they complement each other as to make me a better person as I enter this new phase of my life.
Finally, thank you for showing interest in what I may have to offer to your football program. If you have any questions about me, please feel free, and don't hesitate, to email or call me. Thanks for your time, and I hope to talk to you soon!
