William Schweitzer '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Will Schweitzer, I am a Sophomore attending Los Gatos High School and I am a multi-sport athlete.  Throughout my life, I have had many influencing factors -- most of those have come from my family.  I come from a family of five, with two younger brothers who look up to me every day.  My family is also Catholic and attends mass on most Sundays.  

Before I could even catch a ball, I was screaming GEAUX TIGERS every Saturday with my Mom who bleeds purple and gold and instilled the love of college football in me and my brothers.  My Dad originally led me to start playing football because he played in high school.  I instantly fell in love with playing the game and knew I would want to play for as long as I can.  Throughout my pop warner years in football and now in high school, I learned that I am a competitor and never want to lose. I have also learned that I have drive and compassion for not only my success but my teammates also.  

Academics are also very important to me.  My goal for high school is to maintain an A average.  I am passionate about my sport but my biggest dream is to use my athletics to gain admission to an amazing university and get the best education possible.  

During my life, I have lived in a variety of cities -- London, Chicago and now Los Gatos, CA.   Each time we moved gave me a new perspective but also made me start with a new team and a new school.  I found that making friends and meeting new people is one of my strengths.  At each place, I had to make good impressions on new coaches and teachers.  These changes exposed me to many types of people, which ultimately makes me the leader I am today.  I feel I possess many unique characteristics one being confidence and it shows on and off the field.
