My name is Ronald Robertson Jr. I attend Salesian College Preparatory High School in Richmond California. Class of 2020 quarterback. I’ve played football for the past 13 years of my life. With my time at Salesian, I’ve started at quarterback on varsity since my sophomore year. I received a Honorable Mention my sophomore year and Second Team All League my junior year, leading my league in passing touchdowns with 34 in the regular season. I broke Salesian’s High Schools single season passing record with 41 passing touchdowns my Junior year. For 2019 I threw 38 TD's for nearly 3000 yards, added 13 rushing TD's with 500 yards. The 2019 season was completed by winning the Division 6A State Championship. Since winning state I have been honored being named 1st Team All League, 1st Team All Metro, and East Bay Player of the year. I’ve learned a lot about the game of football. It has showed me I’m not just playing with teammates, but I am playing with my family, we were a team , 23 strong this season and won a state Championship. Going to war every week with my brothers brought us closer together, and I couldn’t have asked for anything better than that. I have been the leader of my team since I was a Sophomore. I learned as I go, the team will follow. I bring everyone together, making sure we are all on the same page. I never take myself too serious. I always have a smile on my face and like putting one on others as well. In school I haven’t always been the best at getting good grades. I always try my hardest. I see teachers after school, ask questions, and do my best grades to get the best grades possible. My goal for this year is to achieve at least a 3.7 GPA, its currently at 3.5. My long term goal is to graduate from college with degree in Business. The biggest obstacle I’ve overcome was in my sophomore year. I broke both of my wrists just before the start of baseball season. I fought back, healed up, and was able to return to the starting line toward the end of the season and help my team in the playoffs. I am looking forward to continuing and building on the success I have achieved so far in High School. I will use the motivation and excitement I have to drive and motivate me to the next level of my life.
