My name is Diego Espinoza, I was raised in Pacoima, CA. I grew up with my mother and three siblings in the ghetto of Pacoima. We enjoyed playing a wide variety of sports in the streets of our neighbors. That is where my interest in football began. I joined football in my freshman year of High school since I wasn't able to afford to play on a pop warner team when I was younger. Not being able to play when I was younger humbled me and made me appreciate the game even more. I quickly fell in love with the sport and it sparked my passion for football. I'm always motivated to do good on the field and classroom for my mom and siblings. They are what keeps me going. Through football, I’ve learned to be a leader, take responsibility seriously, respect people no matter where they came from, and most importantly discipline. These traits have been very beneficial to me and have helped me grow as an individual tremendously. These traits have also helped me strive for good grades and have taught me the importance of school and the power of knowledge. I also want to be able to enhance my knowledge by furthering my education into college. I’m also heavily inspired by my mother who was a single mother for most of my childhood. She taught me how to be strong and kind to others even when times are rough.
