My name is Jake Bailey, I am a kicker/punter from Southern California. My Freshmen year I took all of the JV kicking reps as well as playing both corner and running back. This conditioned me to kick while I am tired. As a Sophomore I was the starting kicker for both the JV and the Varsity teams the whole year as well as the starting cornerback for varsity the second half of the season. I learned a lot about football through this team because we advanced to the California state championship together. This helped me set higher goals for my junior year. This year I attended various college and invitational showcase kicking camps and have won most of their competitions. I am currently ranked number 4 in the Nation as a placekicker and the number 5 ranked punter in the Nation by Kohls Kicking, the largest national ranking system for kickers/punters. Throughout my high school career I have been a member of the California Scholastic Federation and starting my junior year I was also invited to be a member of the National Honors Society. I have also maintained a GPA above 4.0 throughout my high school career even with honors and AP courses. I plan on attending a college that allows and encourages the continued growth of my kicking abilities. A college like this involves a great football community and coaches, great academics, and a great feel for the campus life.
