Brenna Goethals '20 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing basketball since I was four years old and have loved every single minute of it! I want to continue to play for as long as possible, thus, I have been working diligently since fifth grade to make my dream of playing college basketball come true. I am a strong, ambidextrous ball-handler that likes to pass. Driving and the mid-range game are my specialties as I can create my own shot and am equally good off the dribble as I am with the catch and shoot. I am a very positive, outgoing person. Every coach I've ever had has described me as "very coachable".  I put in extra time outside of practice to work on my individual skills and to watch film. I have been selected as captain of my high school team this season as a junior and participate in my school's Emerging Leaders Program. I have learned time management skills to help balance my schoolwork with basketball. This has been key in my earning a 4.2 GPA thus far. I intend to continue to excel academically going forward in high school and then in college. I want to explore a degree in business or economics at a high academic institution where I can play basketball and be a part of a team that is as committed as I am.
