From the first day I began playing tackle football, back in 6th grade, it has consumed me. Sure, I've played flag football and many other sports from a young age but there is something different about tackling and being tackled that I yearn for. The ability to take my anger out in a healthy way and ensuring that I get good grades so I never missed a practice or game, has also helped keep my mom happy over the years. I love my team, my coaches, the kids who I mentor in football camps and the crowds who come out to watch and encourage us.
To be able to turn my passion for football into something that can help me succeed in college and in life seems like a dream but also feels like the natural next step. I plan to bring my positive attitude, friendly demeanor and strong work ethic into my college football career and studies as one of the first in my immediate family to enjoy a true college experience. To be someone that kids can look up to and strive to be like. I believe any college would benefit from having a student athlete like me join their college/team and know if I work hard, I will find the perfect fit.
