My name is Thomas Reynolds, I am a high school athlete for POLYTECH High school in Delaware. My goal is to play football in college.
This past school year (sophomore) i have realized that i need to take this more seriously. I have started agility and weight training almost every day of the week balancing out work etc.
Freshman year was my first year playing football since I played popwarner in elementary school. I started as center on our JV team which was a big accomplishment for me but i wanted more. Over this past summer i did as much training as i could including plyometric movements, lifting weights, and just overall trying to make myself better at the sport. Sophomore school year I managed to be a two way varsity player playing defensive end and right guard which granted me the Most Improved Player award for my high school. The last marking period I was sitting around a 4.0 gpa but my overall is about a 3.2 gpa. This year I was voted team captain and still play both sides of the ball, OL Tackle and DL Tackle/DE. Im getting better every snap but feel I can do so much more. Im looking for the right program to help become a better football player but also a better man.
This year, Junior, I was voted Team Captain by the team and am starting DE and Tackle on defense and starting Guard on offense. I am also on the kickoff return team. I only come off the field a few plays a game but other than that I stay on the field and thats they way I want it. I have great hands and have made a touchdown as a lineman and am looking to play tightend if the team can afford me not as a guard for some plays. I was name All District Second Team for Offensive Tackle. I am taking economics, computer engineering and advanced history classes this year and will push and challenge myself with every aspect of it. My day starts at 4:45AM and head to the gym for workouts. Then I come home and get ready for school with Football or Wrestling practice. After that I head to my job which I have been working for almost 1 year and a half.
I still have two years of high school to push myself to the best of my ability and make sure im a great fit in any college program who notices my potential not only athletically but also academically. I know football isnt everything and cant play it forever at that level but I going to give it everything I have in the mean time. Thank you for the look and please reach out to me if you have any questions or suggestions.
