Mark Trana '21 Recruiting Profile

During high school, I was blessed to be the only Long Snapper on the Varsity team for all 4 years.  I also played Middle Linebacker from Sophomore year on.  As a freshman, I was named Student Athlete of the Year, and as a Sophomore and Junior, I was awarded the Sportsmanship of the Year award.  As a Senior, I was only able to play in 3 games due to Covid but was named as one of the Captains of the team.

Recently, I have been ranked as a 5 ⭐ Long Snapper for Kornblue and 4.5 ⭐ for NKR.  For Kornblue, I am #14 Nationally and NKR #8.  As for my strengths as middle linebacker, I have a strong knowledge of different route combinations which allow me to anticipate which routes threaten my zone. I am a strong leader on defense and have been calling plays since my sophomore year as well as making sure the defense is set up before the ball is snapped.

Academically, I have a 4.8 GPA, 1350 SAT, 28 ACT.  I am ranked 31 out of 662 in my class.  Academics is very important to me, so I am searching for a school that has a football program with an Engineering Degree or Computer Science offered.
