Personal Statement

My name is Chadwick Pezza, but I usually go by the name Chad. I am a 5'9 180 pound Defensive End, and that may be small for my position; however, I am ruthless. The opponents have a hard time seeing me coming for them.  They have never seen someone my size with an extremely powerful punch.  For being only 5'9, I know that coaches and other players have doubted my fierceness as DE; therefore, I have had to be dedicated to putting in 200% on and off the field.  I work my a** off by going to the gym, running and joining track to be more than the best I can be.  Football was not  my go-to sport until a coach approached me and asked me to play for their team.  This is where the love for the sport began... I started playing the game in 8th grade, and let me tell you that I've never been so in love for a game in my life. I even left my girlfriend for the love of football. In my freshman year I started JV and lead the team in sacks for the season. I eventually got pulled up to Varsity and was second string my freshman year as well. During my sophomore year I was second string on varsity and still got some of the best tackling records for the 2018 season. My Junior year I had to transfer schools and the coach made me a starter on Varsity.  My goal is to lead my team to a winning season and to guide and uplift them when we need that extra push. What makes me different from other student athletes is that I am the unexpected. Always being the player and teammate that would make, plan and determine to make  plays happen. Teams would never expect me to make plays in the backfield, but BAM! I do. I am not just an athlete, I am a student athlete meaning I have been on honor roll since the beginning of high school. Taking advanced (AICE, AP, Honor) classes to push me to see my potential.  Taking the easy way is not my motto... My motto is the harder something  is the more determined I am. This goes for football as well. I cant wait to play, show my skillset and grow at the next level and be able to call my college my second home.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
