Yessic Spencer '16 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Yessic Christian Spencer IV and I play center for Gainesville High School in Gainesville, FL. I’ve been playing center for 5 out of the 6 years that I have played football and I am willing to play it in college if need be or I will play any position a coach wants me to play.  I play football because it is my passion. I play every down to the best of my capabilities and I am willing to go the extra mile and put in extra work.

In my time of playing football, going to football camps, and wrestling I have achieved a few awards. In the 2014 season my team was the regional runner-up. During the 2014-2015 season of wrestling I placed 4th in my district and made it to the regional championship. Also I was the best offensive lineman at the NUC combine and camp in Tampa Florida in March of 2015.

During my junior year I have taken the ACT three times and on the first two I got a 25 and the scores for the most recent one are not available yet. I plan on taking the SAT soon and that score I am confident will be really good. My GPA currently is a 3.7 weighted. I am also enrolled in AP and honors classes.

I like to give back to the community and places that have helped me on my way to becoming an admirable young man. I have volunteered many times for a summer camp for cub scouts and I spend a week helping these elementary schoolers learn new things and have a fun time doing it while keeping them in a safe environment. I am also an eagle scout and I am active in my chapter in the Order of the Arrow. I also help my church whenever I can. Just recently I did my Eagle Project for my church, I renovated a room and turned it into a store and media center for people to buy tapes or borrow books on certain aspects of the bible.
