I am Garrett Heinlen a proud member of the Heinlen Family. I have a unique blend of characteristics that make me a good candidate for recruitment into college athletics. My strongest character trait is my work ethic and willingness to put in hard work to improve my athletic abilities and my grades. An example of this is the schedule I have kept during the off season from school and sports. I have been attending a speed camp three days a week for an hour and half, at the same time doing my football training for two hours five days a week, and attending periodic basketball practices for my high school team. During the school year while playing in my sports, I maintained A/B grades in all of my classes which included three honors classes. I have learned the value of hard work to achieve difficult goals and I am a better person for it.
I lead by example. In the weight room, during practice, and in class I focus on the work at hand and do it. I am self directed and very coachable. I learn quickly, adapt to changes, and understand complex situations both on the field and off. I live a morally good life avoiding the pit falls of drug and alcohol use and abuse. I refrain from activities that are harmful to my health and do my best to get proper nutrition and rest. I try to use my example of life and work to teach the incoming freshman what it takes to be a better player.
I am the youngest of three children and the largest at 6'2" and 230 lbs. My athletic goals are to be the fastest and strongest Junior Lineman on our team. I also want to start on the varsity this football season. My academic goal is to maintain my high gradepoint average. I also want to continue to earn money on the side to save for a car.
I want to try new sports this year as well. I am considering going out for Lacrosse and Track in the spring. I hope these sports will compliment my training for football.
Thank you for reviewing my profile. I look forward to talking with you in the future.
