As a student-athlete entering my senior year at Miami Beach Senior High School, I am excited and enthusiastic about the opportunity for growth that the upcoming year will bring.  My parents have always taught me that excellence is not just an end result, but is a process.  As I prepare for my last year in high school, I am pushing myself to excel in the classroom and on the field, knowing that the habits that I develop by pursuing excellence will stand me in good stead well into college and beyond.

South Florida is one of the nation's premier regions for high school football, and I feel fortunate that I have been exposed to the high caliber of talent exhibited by my teammates, as well as the opponents I have faced.  I have had varsity experience since my freshman year and last year as a junior, I started every game.  As quarterback and team captain, I realize I have been given the opportunity to develop my capacity to lead and motivate others.  Whether studying or working out, I am aware that my focus and intensity not only benefits me, but may also serve to set an example and a high standard for my teammates.

I am looking forward to continuing my personal, academic and athletic development during college.  My objective is to attend a university that will facilitate this development, and whose values are commensurate with those that have been instilled within me by my family —diligence, dedication, integrity, perseverance and social responsibility.  I look forward to fully committing myself to the university's football program, as well as becoming an active member of the broader campus community.  I believe college will provide me with the next opportunity to continue strengthening and solidifying the habit of striving for excellence.
