I’ve played competitive elite travel volleyball since the age of 11. Quarantine made the idea of losing volleyball extremely scary, I felt that we may never be able to go back to the “normal”. The COVID-19 pandemic put the brakes on everything and everyone. As the pandemic started out I had nothing to do and nowhere to go except my mom's job and back home. Being careful was most important. Soon enough I had family members infected, and lost my grandfather as well as other family members due to the Corona virus. As feared my mom and I had also gotten infected. Thankfully being healthy prior to being infected and taking precautions, we were able get better in the short span of two weeks.
After such an eventful and emotional quarantine. In preparation for a possible varsity junior indoor season I have chosen to participate in beach volleyball practices as a conditioning tool. Volleyball plays a very big part in my life. I enjoy the daily challenges that come with the sport, It always leaves me with a positive learning impact. It pushes me to be better at the game and as a growing individual. I strive to be a positive energy source on as well as off the court, while supporting my teammates to and through success.
I'm looking for a school and volleyball program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically and I believe I not only have the talent and potential to compete at a college level, I hope to bring character, work-ethic and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program. At this moment in time I want to major in Business and possibly minor in Media / Marketing in the hopes of becoming a successful business woman.
