My Athletic Goals
As a child I always had a dream to play professional soccer. At the end of my freshman year, that all changed. I was asked by my football coach to tryout to be the kicker for the JV team. I did and I made the team. Three games into the season I became the varsity kicker. Once I moved to varsity, my kicking improved (in part to having a better snapper and holder) but also due to my growing confidence. During my junior year, I made "All Big Bend" as the kicker/punter and I began wondering, “maybe I can play at the next level". Since last year, I have worked hard in the weight room and on the field to improve my strength and kicking abilities. I attended several camps and worked with some nationally known kicking instructors. My goal now is to get a scholarship offer at a college or university that also fits my other needs such as location and academics. I was recently named Class 3A 1st Team All-State Punter my senior year.
My Academic Goals
I hope to attend college and get a 4-year degree. I am unsure of what exactly I want to do after college, so I am not sure what my major will be at this point.
My Personal Life
I enjoy working on my truck, installing electronics (such as amplifiers, subwoofers, and such). I enjoy working on computers. I custom built my own high-end gaming computer when I was 15 after researching what parts needed to give me the system I wanted. I had worked odd jobs to pay for this myself. I may find a future in the Information Technology industry or something completely different. I have been involved in my church since birth. I enjoy helping others and have participated in service projects throughout high school. I also enjoy mentoring younger youth to encourage them in their walk with God.
My Future
I don't know what the future holds, but I trust that God will help me with whatever He has planned in my life. If kicking in college is part of it that would be fantastic!
