My desire to be a college football player comes from the experiences I have had throughout the years of playing football. While my brothers are college basketball players, I have always wanted to create my own path and football provided the avenue for me to do that. I truly enjoy the game because I am able to express myself through my game from all of the hard work and grind that I have done alone. The game is where I am able to reveal that hard work. As a team captain, my current goal is to be able to lead the team knowing that I made a difference while I build up the future leaders so the team will be successful even after I have left. My role as a teammate is to lead with my voice and actions, speaking what needs to be said when others find it difficult to say what is needed at the right time.
My academic goal is to study psychology which is really interesting to me because I want to learn about how the mind of a person works. Having a background in psychology will enable me to be a better football player all around because not only will I be able to support my teammates as they are developing as players but I will also be able to use my understanding of how the mind works to navigate my opponents on the field.
Ultimately, I want to be the best college football player that my future team and coach needs. That means playing any position and putting in the work to be an asset on the field, in the lockerroom, and in the classroom.
