My name is Gracie Wallace; I am an incoming freshmen at Mt. Dora High School, a public school located in Central Florida. The purpose of this statement is to express my desire and my passion to pursue softball at the next level. Softball has already offered me so many opportunities and has allowed me to connect with amazing coaches and players that I look up to as role models. My ultimate goal is to play softball at the college level. I am willing to put whatever it takes into becoming the best softball player I'm capable of being and being the best teammate I can possibly be by helping the team in anyway I can. I fully understand that academics are the most essential part of college, but I believe that being a part of a team creates life long bonds, teamwork, and character. I have always pushed myself in academics, for example math is not my strongest subject but I have challenged myself by taking advanced classes and taking a high school class early. This is because I believe that the only way to get better at something is by pushing yourself to the limit. That is way I love softball so much.
Thank you for taking the time to read my personal statement.
