Personal Statement

I love Football, i have always loved Football. As George Washington said, "I am considered a great leader because i never make the same mistake twice." and that is what i want in a coach. Someone i can respect and have complete confidence that he is the best leader for the team. The School i attended since i was 5 was a small private school, with no football team. My weight was always a problem that kept me from playing in township leagues. I never thought i would get a chance to play the game my body was made for. My sophomore year of high school was my first year of football and the school's first year of football. I then realized my true love for the battlefield. That year i was 6"1 270 lbs i had a good season for my first year and really loved playing. I was a big proponent of the team due to my size and leadership skills. I had respect due to my size and my 100% effort at every practice. My Junior year was even better, i played a great season, but I didn't start really improving until i went to Jim Browne's Athletes Edge. I loved it i had always been weightlifting and never working on my speed till the camps started, but then i went to Jim Browne's place and learned the importance of speed and power. When i was on a roll with my training and everything, i was getting ready for a combine in May, everything was looking good. It was April 29th at 4 in the morning when my house burned down. I woke my family up and my family all made it out safely. When i saw them all safe i felt Jesus leave me and i collapsed. I woke up 10 days later realizing that i was in Intensive care for 10 days, and i almost died three times in those few weeks. It was a big blow but i have my Savior Jesus Christ with me, and as soon as i was cleared to train again i busted my rear to get to playing shape. I not only got into playing shape but i got into playing both sides every game shape, Thanks to Jim Browne. For College i have no set school that i am hitting for. My biggest conflict is i have been very much gifted in Art and Theatre and Film, i need to have a school that has all these and great football. Size does not matter to me. I would love to play for any School around Michigan. I am going to mainly decide on the school due to the majors i am focusing on. I love Football but my studies have to be top priority, mom's wish. I want to be able to play at the highest competition level as possible, i realize i only have 3 years under my belt and i would love to get bigger faster and stronger for any team that i sign on to. I am a Christian, i believe i would not be here if it weren't for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, so i am interested in Christian colleges, but i am interested in everything right now. I have a strong interest in in-state schools, mainly because of location it is not too far from home. I love home and due to the house fire we will have a new house by next May and i would like to enjoy it sometime. I just want to play some more football and i will work my tail off for any team i go to. And as George Washington said, "Discipline is the soul of an army. It makes small numbers formidable; procures success to the weak, and esteem to all."

I have also developed many skills in remodelling our home which included wireing, framing and drywalling. Each year I participate in our school-wide mission project. I have done many service projects in the metro-Detroit area. I have also had a main role in our school's tenth grade drama production and a minor role in the 11th grade production. I plan to be involved in the 2011 production as well. Some of my art work was recently accepted for a public showing. I designed the football logo for my junior year of football. I was also a captain this year. Even though I have little memory of it, I was recognized by our local fire department and the State if Michigan for alerting my family that our house was on fire in the middle of the night. We all made it out (except our collie) but since I was in ICU on a ventilator for the following 7 days, I have little actual memory of the event.
