I started playing football in the second grade, and it has been my dream from that young age to play college football and compete at a high level. Now, as a high school football player, this dream is coming closer. I made the varsity team as a freshman, and I became a starter by the playoffs, where we won three games before losing 14-10 in the state semifinals. Through hard work on and off the field, I proved that I could already compete at the varsity level. Some of my best attributes as an offensive lineman are my size, strength, athleticism, and motor. I am already 6'3", 280, having grown 3 inches and added 50 pounds in just the past year. I am already benching 285 and squatting 435 and lifting regularly with a trainer. I used to play fullback and linebacker too, and I have the athleticism to drive my defender off the line of scrimmage and move and block into the next level. I love to play offensive line because I can compete against defensive linemen and use my aggressiveness and technique to overpower them. And I am always willing to work hard and listen to my coaches and trainers to get better.
Along with athletics, I value and work hard on my academics. I am in advanced classes in my high school, and a good college academic program is important to me. I believe that hard work is extremely important in both academics and athletics. At this point, I am open to many types and locations of colleges, but I am looking for high-level athletics and academics so that I can compete in both of these fields.
