I envision my success as a quarterback not due to athletic abilities or height. My success at quarterback and football will be because I am able to lead people and a team all together for a greater achievement. Naturally people follow me because they see me as an athlete or a quarterback but there is more to it than that. When I started feeder football in 6th grade for the high school I'm district ed for it was only my second season playing quarterback. Both of the coaches sons played quarterback and they were above me on the depth chart for the first 4 games and this really got to me because I knew I was better than both of them. The coaches had a meeting and decided that I should be the starter. We ended the season making it to the state semifinals with a record of 9-2.
Off the field I will carry myself with pride and respect knowing that my actions reflect on the university that I attend. Academically I take this as serious as football. Whichever university I attend I know I will give everything I have to help and prove myself and that I am worth being on the team. I want to make an immediate impact on the team in whichever way possible whether it be scout team or starter.
