My name is Christopher Rehak. I am sixteen years old and a junior at St. Anne - Pacelli Catholic High School in Columbus, GA. It has always been my life's dream to play football at the college level and even if I am talented and lucky enough, to play in the NFL. I love the game of football. I started playing football when I was eight years old with River City Youth football. I played at River City through middle school and then have gone on to play at the Varsity level at my high school. My favorite position is Defensive Tackle, but I have been utilized a great deal at the Guard and Offensive Tackle position as well. In 2011, after my freshman season I was named Most Improved Player for my team - The Vikings. Since I started to play in high school, I have taken advantage of many opportunities to improve myself for the game of football, both physically and mentally. In June, 2013 I participated in the Georgia Southern University Offensive Line Camp and was named the 9th & 10th grade Offensive Line Champion. Also in June, 2013, I attended the Offense - Defense Football Camp and was named the Overall Defense MVP. From that camp I was invited to participate in their Elite Football Camp and due to my performance at that camp, I was selected to play in the Offense - Defense All American Bowl in Houston, Texas at Reliant Stadium. That was an awesome experience, and one that gave me even more desire to compete at the next level. After the 2012 season, I was named the Defensive Player of the Year for my team. I was also chosen for the All Bi-City, All - Region and All - State teams. In addition, I was also given the 2012 Sportvision Defense Award for my high school and named to the 2012 Columbus Valley Athletic Awards Football "25" team. In March, 2013 I competed at the Nike Sparq combine in Atlanta and achieved a score of 55.05. I also participated in the National Underclassmen Combine in Albany, GA and was named the Overall Defensive MVP and Strongest Man. I was invited to and participated in the National Underclassmen Ultimate 100 Camp that was held in June, 2013. Also during June, 2013 I participated in the Offense - Defense Football Camp in Atlanta and I recieved the Offensive MVP award and was invited to the All American Bowl in Orlando at the Citrus Bowl in December, 2014. During my Junior season, I went on to record 87 tackles in total as a Defensive Tackle. (56 Solo, 31 Assisted, & 27 TFL) I recorded 7.0 sacks, 20 YDl; 2 Fumble Recoveries, 2 Caused Fumbles and 1 Defensive Touchdown. I also graded out at 93% on Offense. My team made it into the Georgia State playoffs for the first time since 2007!! We will make it further next year. While I am proud of my successes and accomplishments up to this point in my football journey, I know that I am on a path that will require commitment to myself and my team. I have continued to work out vigorously in the off-season to prepare for the next season. I am looking forward to what this season holds for me and my team. I hope to work hard enough on the football field and in the classroom to fulfill my life-long dream of playing college football.
