Dear Prospective Coach: My name is Richard D Eusery, Jr., I am a 5’10 225 pound Football Player. I started playing tackle football in 2015 as a first string offensive lineman (L Tackle) and I helped our team become regional champions in the years 2015 and 2016. In 2017, I continued playing first string Left Tackle in my last year of middle school with our team only having 1 loss in 3 years. My freshman year in high school, I continued starting at L Tackle on the freshman team and we finished the season with a 7 - 1 record. I also was moved up to the Varsity team in my freshman year as backup for starting senior lineman. In 2018 I was moved from L Tackle to L Guard and started on the JV team and also played as 2nd string on the Varsity. In my 2019 season as a sophomore I was moved to R Guard on JV and the varsity head coach saw my skills in blocking and I was moved to Fullback on varsity helping the team open up the running game as we made it to the second round of the playoffs. I also earned and was awarded my Varsity Letter and received an award for being a Student Athlete with a GPA of 3.5. This year was the start of my junior year and I was still asked to play L Guard and Defense of Line on the JV team as in addition to starting at Fullback on the varsity team. In these positions I would block and open up running lanes for the running backs as they rushed for over 250 yards per game in 3 games played. Along with my role in blocking I also caught my 1st pass for 20 yards showing my versatility as fullback. On defense of line for JV I rushed and made tackles for loss of yards and caused and recovered fumbles. As for my senior year I was moved to Linebacker and D-Line. I have played every position in the box and have highlights in those positions. From blitzing for a sack to edgerushing the tackle.
I have been an Honor Roll student athlete since middle school and have been taking all Honor classes and maintaining a GPA of 3.5 and above. My goal during my senior year is to be the best student athlete football player I can be and earn a scholarship playing the game I love. I am looking for a school that offers a degree program in Aerospace Engineering for my studies. I know nothing comes easy but I have my faith, the drive, discipline, experience and commitment to excel in the classroom and on the field. I look forward to earning the opportunity to play for a great football program and receiving an excellent college education.
