John Hunt V '16 Recruiting Profile

Proverbs 27:17 says "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." This is what I operate by, on and off the field. I know the power of influence. I've seen some of the football players I've looked up to take plays off and slack, and it makes you think that it'll be okay if you do the same but it's not. That's why everyday when I step in the weight room or on the field, I give 100% of my effort to whatever I'm doing not only to make myself better, but to make all my teammates around me better as well. I'm a firm believer in teamwork. On the football field, one man can't do anything, but a group of determined, tenacious men can do anything they seek to do. I am one of those men, and I want everyone around me to be like that as well. I don't skip reps, or jog sprints. I hold myself, and my teammates accountable because that's who I am. I'm not the tallest, or the strongest DT you'll ever see, but I will grind as hard as anyone else until my goals are completed.
 
I'm am now starting to transfer this mentality to the classroom. At first, I used to just cruise through gifted classes because they were too easy, but eventually I became complacent, so now I am working my hardest to get back to where I know I can be in the classroom. I have solid tangibles and technique, but the most important thing I have to offer to any school interested is the attitude I'll bring with me.
