My name is Gavin Adcock. I am 17, currently a Junior in high school, and the oldest of 3 children. Growing up on a cattle farm, I have learned many life lessons that have helped me succeed in the game of football, not only physically, but mentally as well. I have played many sports in my life, and several in high school, including football, baseball, and wrestling. Whatever I do, I always strive to do my very best. In football, I lettered my Freshman year and my sophomore year I started varsity. I had a great junior year, starting on offense and defense. I received Walton EMC's lineman of the week award, and was also named All Region 8-AAA FIRST TEAM. I was named Prep Player of the week honorable mention for our teams win over the #2 ranked team in the state. This win lead us to win our Region. Although I enjoy playing other sports, my first love has always been football. My football career started when I was 7 years old, and I knew that I loved the game from the very first time that I stepped onto the field. I truly feel like I was made for this sport! My passion started at a very early age, and has only intensified throughout my years of playing. I have always been an intense player, but I know being a great player does not come without hard work, and dedication. I feel that there is always something more to learn, and room for improvement. Being a leader on and off the field is something that I strive to do daily. Playing football in college is a dream that I have always had, and aim to accomplish. I play defensive end and offensive guard, and have also played fullback, and linebacker in the past. At 250lbs., no one ever believes how fast that I am, until they see me in action. I am the fastest lineman on my team, and can hang with many of the other players. My second love is working with my dad on our cattle farm. I hope to major in agriculture business or business. I know that with my passion, leadership, skill, love of the game, and dedication to TEAM and hard work, that I will be a great asset to any football program.
