My name is Cody Dickard. I am currently a sophomore at Melba High School in Idaho. My goals and aspirations are to graduate college, but am currently unsure of what academic area I want to study. I have thought about studying agriculture or diesel mechanics. The good news is I am still young enough to have some time to decide as my goals may change altogether with what I want. I do know I love the game of football. Growing up a coaches son and his only boy, I have spent countless hours either playing football, hanging out with the team, traveling with the team, doing summer workouts and watching film with my dad. This is my second year on varsity. We took 5th in state this year, and 3rd last year. As a freshman I earned 2nd team all conference offensive line and this year earned 1st team offensive line and second team defensive line, along with 2nd team All State OL. I have seen huge gains in my strength and speed after being in our weights program for a year. Although football is my passion, I also enjoy participating in wrestling. I am currently the varsity heavy weight for our team. Although wrestling is not my favorite sport, my dad tells me it is important to become a better football player. I am starting to see the results and am having some success with it. I also participate in our school's FCA group, BPA, and Student Council. I would love to be able to continue playing and attending college after high school and am doing what I need to at a young age to begin that process.
