I have been playing football since I was 4 years old and to become a professional at it has been my lifelong dream. I honestly thought that my talent will take me where I wanted to go and my focus was not on academics. To my dismay, my lack of enthusiasm for getting good grades has left me in a position that I never expected to be in. A position that has not only put going to college at a distance, but playing football even further away. However, I do believe in second chances. Once I am accepted into a university, I will take advantage of every opportunity that becomes available to me. I understand that maintaining and acceptable GPA to be successful is mandatory whether I pursue a career in football or in corporate America. I plan to use study groups, tutoring and any other assistance that is offered to help students to be successful at the college level. I understand that maintaining and acceptable GPA to be successful is mandatory whether I pursue a career and football or in corporate America. I plan to use study group, tutoring and any other assistance that is offered to help students to be successful at the college level. Football has been a great driving force me throughout life and it became more important as I began to develop into a man. My parents and siblings have been my support system along the way and I have created life long friendships with my teammates. I understand that it is important to give your all in whatever you do and that's one reason why I am not giving up! The major that I would like to study in college is finance. I will be entering the next level of my life and after almost not advancing in high school, I realize now that there is no more room for error. My focus has changed. My goal is to be successful in whatever I do in life. In retrospect, I do realize that I could have worked harder and done better academically during my high school years, but at this point, I can only look forward. I am looking forward to being committed to college for the next four years of my life.
