Personal Statement

Hello Coaches, My name is Ricardo Valadez Jr and I attend St. Rita Of Cascia High School. I have always had a dream of playing college football. I have been playing football since the 4th grade and I love it. As a kid going up all i wanted to do was play sports, I was involved in Football, Basketball, Baseball, and Wrestling, but my most favorite is football. I began my football career at my grammar school St. Bede where i played for 4 years. But then my 8th grade year came around and I was recruited to St. Rita high school. Right now I am a senior  at St. Rita, I enjoy every minute I spend at school because it is my second home. I have been involved now for 4 years in high school with football. I played with the freshman team my first year, played with my sophomore team and a little varsity my second year, and for my third year I am playing with Varsity. My position is middle linebacker, but I have also played Outside Linebacker. I am 6'1 weight 215 and my 40 is a 4.86. I know that I can offer a team many things, one is that I am a harder worker, display discipline, and I am dedicated to everything that I do. For me football starts on the practice field. I work hard day in and day out and in practice my job is to work hard and make others better. We are all friends and family on a team but in practice there is one goal of becoming better. I strive for excellence for on and off the field. Besides football, my school work is very important to me. School is first and should be. Through my first three years of high school at St. Rita I have been on the silver honors, and gold honors. My GPA is a 3.8. I have been inducted into the National Honor Society.  For my senior year of high school i hope to continue what I have done and only get better so I have the opportunity of getting into a great college. College for me is something that is very important and I stay on top of that. Being given the chance to play college football would be a fantastic but being able to get a college diploma is a blessing. Thank you for your time, Ricardo Valadez
