My name is Joseph John Calcagno from the class of 2017. I attend Fenwick High School where I play both football and baseball. I started 12 games at right guard and long snapper on the varsity level as a sophomore and received All-Chicago Catholic League honors as an offensive guard. Additionally, I am ranked as the 6th best long snapper in the nation by Chris Rubio. I play because I love the game and what it takes to be able to play. I am striving to earn the opportunity to play football at the collegiate level to enhance my playing skills while earning a quality education. I plan to study something in the medical field, though I am not sure yet which specific area I would like to study.
I am a very hard working athlete and student. I train my skills and strength everyday while doing my best to excel in all of my classes. I continuously strive to make good choices so that I represent myself, my family, and my school in a positive way. I understand that as an athlete my actions on and off the field have to match the expectations of a collegiate athlete and a good moral person. It would be my dream to play for a school where I can succeed athletically and academically.
