My name is Matthew Hightower some ways to describe me would consist of: hardworking, ambitious, humble, mature, a fast learner, fair, morally sound, and knowledgeable. I grew up a boy who had no true family in life, I overcame many obstacles, trials and tribulations, and all of these things has lead to my stick out maturity at a young age. I never was at one place to live so I never had the opportunity to play and commit to sports growing up. Despite my rough past, I started focusing on my grades. I wasn’t always the best student but I realized I could do way better than I was doing at the time so since 4th grade up until the present I’ve been in honors and or Ap classes. I always was an active child running and biking around all day and this has lead to my rare all around athleticism I discovered as a grew up. I started off as a basketball player and I still love the sport but football is what I was meant to play and I’ve gained a strong attachment to the game. With my past a lot of rage built up inside of me I needed something to release that negative energy in a positive way so I started football freshman year for the first time. I wasn’t the best player but I was a stick out and I was bigger than the others with a lot of potential. As I figured the game out my skills increased as well. I noticed this sophomore year with 1 year of football experience the team needed a running back and my stature fit the position. As I went through the season I dominated realizing my size and athletic abilities were unmatched among my age so I could do anything a football player would need to. Ever since I was a child I noticed I was never satisfied I can always do better and still until this day I am the same way, striving for greatness and full of ambition. I am also a morally sound person I treat others how I want to be treated and I do my best to respect everyone no matter if they are my friends or not but everything has limits including that. My goal in football is to be the best possible player I can be and make it big. I feel I have too much talent and work ethic to go to waste not trying to go all the way so as said “Go big or go home”. Once again my name is Matthew Hightower and this is a brief background of myself.
