Football has shown me how to set goals, push myself and be selfless in something bigger than myself. The lessons I have learned from being a player have shaped me to be the person I am today, and they will continue to guide me throughout the course of my college career and beyond.
I am excited to pursue my academic and athletic goals as I get into college. I want to pursue a degree in engineering/business while also playing football. The experience will help me to grow in discipline, time management, teamwork, and leadership. Those skills are essential to success on and off the field.
On the field, I live for being a physical, competitive, and well-prepared player. I take pride in studying everything I can about my position, the overall scheme, and other teams so I can be a dependable teammate. Off the field, I work constantly on my skills, striving to improve to be the best version of myself. I also take pride in my work ethic, which I believe is contagious to the people around me. I do my best to lead by example and put the team first, staying selfless in every situation.
In school, I hold myself to a high standard as an honors student. I bring the same focus and dedication to football. I am confident that my commitment to being excellent in academics and athletics will not only build my character but also make me a valuable asset to your program.
