Jimmy Davies '24 Recruiting Profile

Dear Prospective Coach,

My name is Jimmy Davies. I am a 5’10 175-pound punter. I also play slot receiver.                 

As a kid I enjoyed football, but I realized I also had a talent for basketball. I played basketball for many years thinking that was my sport. However, as I was growing up, I missed football. I recommitted to football in middle school and haven’t looked back. I love the game of football and I’m very competitive. 

I didn’t start my freshman year, but I worked hard in the off season taking private lesson from a punting coach and improved quickly. My sophomore year, I was the starting punter for the JV team.  At the end of the year, I was also the starting kicker. Center Grove Coach Moore even nicknamed me Jimmy the Boot. 

My cumulative GPA is 3.381. After high school, my dream is to play college football. I open to going where the opportunity is because I just can’t imagine my football career ending after my senior year. I feel I have a great deal to offer a team with my punting and leadership.
