I have always played sports. When I was young, I was asked to be on "Team Indiana" for baseball. My father had a huge influence on my sports. He was a college athlete and pushed me to my potential. Growing up I have always been the big guy, which gave me some advantages, but it wasn't until my high school career in sports where I had to use not just my size but knowledge and talents to get ahead. Our high school is highly competitive and highly successful in both football and baseball programs. This past year our baseball team made it to state (IN). I was named to the "all state team for first base" as a sophomore.
This past spring I lost 30+ pounds by eating right and working extra hard. I realize this will help my overall well-being, but it will definitely benefit me as an athlete. Ultimately, I want to play college football for a respected program. My academic goal is to graduate high school with a high GPA and attend college to earn a degree in business. I have always been able to balance sports and grades and will continue to work hard to prove myself.
