Several things have influenced me in my short 15 years of life. My parents are one of my biggest influences. They have taught me right from wrong. They have taught me respect and honesty. They have taught me it's ok to be me and go my own way. Another influence in my life is believing in God. I know He is the reason I exist. I enjoy nature and all that He created. My middle school football coach is also another influence in my life. He recognized my passion for football and though he was tough on me, he kept my love of football strong.
I started playing flag football in 4th grade. I loved it. Then in 5th grade I got to play tackle football. I thought flag football was great but it was nothing compared to playing tackle. Hitting, running, carrying the ball, was a total rush, and it's only gotten more awesome!
I have learned that it is not just a one person game, it is a team! Everyone has to work together. You have to trust in your team mates. You are only as good as the team even though some players have more talent than others.
I want to do as well as I possibly can in academics. I try to pick classes that will challenge me mentally. I am looking forward to the same in college. I have struggled in a couple classes, but hung in there till I overcame what was giving me issues. I am a positive person. I like helping others and fighting for the underdog. I don’t give up easily.
